Kevin Wheeler
Principal & Founder
Kevin, as Principal and Founder, is responsible for the strategic planning and execution of all Developers Vantage projects. He works closely with Owners, ensuring their best interests are represented in all matters involving Architects, Engineers, General Contractors, Subcontractors, Vendors, and Suppliers. Kevin draws on his extensive background in development and construction to provide clear guidance throughout every stage of the project lifecycle, from planning and development to design and construction.
Kevin is a results-driven real estate development and construction professional with a diverse background in large-scale, high-impact projects across Los Angeles and beyond. His expertise spans every stage of the development cycle, from acquisitions and development to design, permitting, and project management.
As Director of Construction & Development at CloudKitchens, Kevin led multi-kitchen facility projects across 12 states, overseeing architect and contractor selection, pro forma budgets, on-site construction, and operational transitions. In this fast-paced startup environment, Kevin helped grow the company and played a pivotal role in managing development and construction, building a team, and establishing a new real estate asset class. Starting with a never-before-seen prototype design, Kevin also led pre-construction ideation and value engineering to develop an efficient and scalable design for this emerging industry. With Kevin's support, the company began with a prototype and grew into the world’s largest owner of ghost kitchen facilities.
As Director of Construction & Development at the prestigious Caruso development company, Kevin played a key role in the 125,000-square-foot Palisades Village retail center’s development. He managed design coordination, permitting, contractor management, and on-site construction. In addition, Kevin led key pre-construction activities on multiple Caruso projects, advised on redevelopment scenarios for portfolio assets, oversaw complex cost estimation, and maintained high-level city relationships across building departments, public works departments, and utility companies.
Earlier in his career, Kevin gained extensive experience managing high-value projects with a large general contractor. He oversaw multiple projects totalling over 1,500 MW of power generation and led EPC design-build initiatives. Kevin’s General Contractor expertise extends to estimating, preconstruction activities, project pursuits, contract negotiations, project controls, project management and market analysis, all with a focus on delivering value and quality to clients.
Kevin specializes in site due diligence, cost estimating, and pre-construction activities. His expertise spans design management, value engineering, and constructability assessments, ensuring efficient project delivery. Skilled in project buyout, procurement, and negotiation, Kevin excels at securing optimal contract terms and managing project controls. He has a strong background in utility coordination and schedule analysis, ensuring seamless project execution from initiation to completion while maximizing client value and minimizing risk.
